Big Papa's BBQ Steak

Big Papa's BBQ was established in Denver Colorado on June 18, 2004 by Frank Alfonso and Bill Cossoff. Frank a Native from South Florida grew up on Good ole' southern BBQ, and worked in the restaurant industry for all of his adult life after graduating as a Gator.

Bill with his entrepreneurial spirit had started several companies including an athletic shoe company for tri-athletes, had a considerable amount of experience in commercial and residential real estate.

The two gentlemen had been friends for years and decided they were going to start a new venture in BBQ. They traveled the country and did their homework on the industry and started perfecting the recipes for the greatest BBQ in America. When the recipes were complete, they went on a hunt for the perfect first location. That location was found in central Denver Colorado just off of Monaco and Evans. The first store opened June 18, 2004, and the rest they say is history.
